Polarity One is the foundation for developing as a somatic energetic practitioner. This first class in the APP program is a life changing initiation into the world of Polarity Therapy.
This is a three day in-person class that will empower you with a holistic body-centered energetic protocol that balances the chakras and elements, and tends to the mind, body and energy. Use Polarity therapy with clients/patients, family or friends.

Other health care practitioners: Learn how to weave Polarity into your therapeutic practice.

In this foundational class you will receive a thorough introduction to the history of Dr. Stone the creator of Polarity Therapy and the various holistic modalities that have influenced and contributed to what Polarity Therapy is today.
Students who complete this course will demonstrate proficiency in the following:
Understanding what subtle energy is and how it works, as well as proper ethical approaches to maintaining sustainable energetic hygiene
Proficiency in Holding Space/Neutrality
Making Energetic Relation/Resonance and an introduction to Polarity communications
Identifying the three Poles in the Body as well as the three Gunas as found in Ayurveda
Understanding the spiritual and cosmological orientations of Polarity Therapy including Creation/ Point of Origin, Involution/ Evolution and the hermetic principle of "as above so below" as it pertains to understanding the reflex nature of Polarity Therapy
Palpating a clients energy field, and understanding how to give an entire full body session using the guidelines of the General Session as created by Pierre Pannetier, a protege of Dr. Randolph Stone
In addition we will cover:
Polarity Principle/Rhythmic Pulsation
Assimilation of the three Poles in Nature and in Life
Three Gunas as Types of Touch
Energetic Currents- Fire Spiral,Transverse, and Long Lines
Anatomy and Physiology (Orthodox) including Basic Landmarks such as the cranium, foramen magnum, vagus nerve, pituitary and pineal gland, xiphoid process, collar bone, diaphragm, malleolus, cuboid, calcaneus, spine, pelvis, etc.
Contra-Indications such as points to avoid during pregnancy, acute conditions (concussions, skin irritations, post surgery, etc.), neuropathy touch.
An overview of Anatomy and Physiology in the Energetic model including the Chakra system and how this relates to the five elements
The somatic energetic overlay of chakra model on the body.
Energies of the three poles of the body and the relationship between stagnant energy and dis-ease in the body/mind matrix.
In this profound three-day journey you will learn how Polarity Therapy as a holistic healing modality is also a way of life.
There is a saying in Polarity that "every time we give a session, we get a session". Giving and receiving this work is as transformative for ourselves as it is for anyone whom we have the honor to share it with.
We are all capable of unlocking our innate healing potential. All hands have the capacity to be healing hands.
We believe that all people who feel called, can cultivate their innate ability to tune into and work with energy. We are all energetic beings and this work is your birthright!
Therefor, this introductory class is open to both practitioners and non-practitioners alike.
Polarity is very complimentary for:
Licensed Massage therapists, craniosacral therapists, reflexologists
Physical therapists
Somatic practitioners or body centered psychotherapists
Yoga therapists
Medical professionals such as chiropractors, Naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, midwives, doulas, death doulas, or other professionals who have a license to touch and want to incorporate body based energy work into their practice
In addition, Polarity can be easily adapted to support other energy healing modalities such as:
Reiki
Theta healing
Tantric Healing
Therapeutic Touch
Shamanic or energy healing
*Polarity principals can easily be adapted and integrated into non-touch based modalities. If you are interested in our somatic energy medicine professional track, you are only required to participate in the first day but you may enjoy staying for the entire class.
If you are interested in becoming certified in Polarity as a stand alone modality and intend to practice professionally (or add polarity bodywork to your existing practice), then it is required in Washington state to have a license to touch. In Oregon, Arizona and some other states this is not be necessary. Please make sure to check the laws in the area you wish to practice.
Everyone who attends will receive a certificate for participating in this class.
This is also the first class in the APP (Associate in Polarity Principles) program.
If you are interested in becoming certified in Polarity Therapy there are several levels you can engage in. APP, RPP or BCPP.
In addition you could choose to become an Integrative Craniosacral Balancing Practitioner by combining our craniosacral program with our polarity program which makes you eligible for your APP through APTA.

My name is Amanda Lux and I am the creator of the Elevation Hive.
I am a board certified polarity practitioner, Registered Polarity Educator, Licensed massage therapist, and have taken many additional trainings and teacher trainings.
Some of these but not all include massage therapy, BodyMind Bridge Hypnotherapy, transformational life coaching, dream teacher training with Robert Moss, and yoga teacher training with a focus on somatics.
I have been teaching Polarity professionally for five years and have been assisting classes and studying to teach since 2015.
I have been practicing Polarity therapy and Craniosacral Unwinding professionally since 2004 and have had the opportunity to give somewhere in the vicinity of 10,000 sessions over nearly two decades of private practice. My clients and students have been by far my greatest teachers!

Location
This sacred land which sustains our emerging education and retreat center, supports one full-time family residence, one 30 foot geodesic classroom dome with views of Oyster Bay inlet. We have one cottage for rent that is reserved for students during classes and open for anyone through AIR BNB the rest of the time.
In addition there are two smaller domes that will soon be available for nightly rental.
We are located in Steamboat Island which is 15 minutes from Downtown Olympia, WA. (Exact address and directions will be given upon registration).

We are situated on an inlet to the Salish Sea, where oysters and herons, otters and deer, and so many other creatures co-exist.
We would like to honor the T'Peeksin, Squaxin, Nisqually and other Coast Salish tribes as well as all the beings who have lived in harmony with this land we now steward by acknowledging that many violent acts against Indigenous people, animals and the earth have taken place here.
It is our intention to mindfully care for this ten acres of majestic forest with as much consciousness, gratitude and reciprocity as possible.
