Our mission is to support embodied healing, personal and collective resilience, and a deeper sense of belonging through trauma-informed, earth-connected practices. We believe meaningful change begins with listening to the body, honoring nervous system rhythms, and cultivating care that is rooted in respect for ourselves, one another, and the living world.
The Hive exists as a place of learning, rest, and connection. We offer tools, practices, and community support that encourage sustainable growth rather than urgency, and integration rather than striving. Our work is grounded in embodiment, relationship, and ecological awareness, recognizing that healing unfolds most fully when we are supported and not alone.
Here you’ll find in-person and online classes in Polarity Therapy, Craniosacral work, Dreamwork, and related healing arts, alongside a community that supports both personal inquiry and professional development. Together, we practice living the values we wish to see reflected in the world, with care, presence, and integrity.

Amanda Lux has devoted her life to the study and practice of embodied healing, energy medicine, and inner inquiry. She began her professional healing practice in 2003 in Los Angeles, where she trained in therapeutic massage, Craniosacral Unwinding, and Polarity Therapy at the School of Integrative Psycho-Structural Bodywork.
After relocating to Olympia, Washington in 2006, Amanda established a thriving private practice that she has maintained for over two decades. She has facilitated over ten thousand sessions, weaving together therapeutic massage, Polarity and craniosacral therapy, intuitive guidance, hypnotherapy, and life coaching in both in-person and online settings. Direct clinical experience has been her most formative teacher, informing a deeply integrated and client-centered approach.
Amanda completed her Polarity Therapy and Craniosacral Unwinding teacher training with Gary Strauss at the Life Energy Institute in 2019, following five years of advanced study and travel. She has pursued additional craniosacral training through the Upledger Institute in Los Angeles and with Ursula Popp in Seattle. Her academic studies include behavioral medicine, yoga, craniosacral therapy, somatic psychology, and mind-body nutrition at The Evergreen State College.
She is a Board Certified Polarity Practitioner and Registered Polarity Educator through the American Polarity Therapy Association, a certified Transformational Life Coach through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, and has practiced BodyMind Bridge hypnotherapy since 2013 and completed her Active Dream Teacher training with Robert Moss in 2018.
In 2016, Amanda completed Aroma Yoga teacher training with Tracy Griffiths, and in recent years she has formalized her long-standing yoga practice through comprehensive teacher training. After more than 15 years of an almost daily Ashtanga Yoga practice with the same certified Ashtanga teacher, Vivian Bedford, Amanda completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2023 and a 300-hour somatic yoga teacher training in 2024 in Bali with Tara Judelle, founder of Embodied Flow™, with additional studies in Yoga Nidra and trauma-informed, equity-based practices. She is an RYT-500 registered with Yoga Alliance.
Amanda is the founder of Elevation Hive Center for Somatic Healing Arts. She opened the school in 2018 offering in-person Polarity Therapy education, transitioned programming online in 2020 to support global community connection, and later returned to in-person teaching as the school evolved. Her work bridges education, mentorship, and experiential learning.
She is the author of The SoulCare Workbook: A 33-Day Journey Through Your Chakras and Elements, which is accompanied by an interactive online course, and she is the host of the podcast A Lone Traveler’s Guide to the Divine and she is a co-creator of the healer's Journey Dream Oracle book and deck.
Amanda is also the creator of Polarity Somatic Yoga, an integrative practice informed by more than twenty years of healing work and yoga practice.
Her teaching reflects a synthesis of ancient wisdom, somatic awareness, and lived experience, offering pathways for both personal transformation and professional development.
One of my greatest joys in life is being a mother to five remarkable humans, two I birthed and three I gained along the way. Wherever I go, I’m also accompanied by my dog (chaweenie), Riley Rose, whom I lovingly call my spirit animal incarnate.
Creativity is at the core of how I live and work. I am a working artist devoted to cultivating play, imagination, and presence, spending as much time as possible in my studio painting dreams and inner landscapes. I am the creator of The Healer’s Journey Oracle Deck, and my artwork can be viewed and collected at healersjourney.art and AmandaLux.com.
Yoga has been a steady companion since the early 2000's and a foundational practice in my life. Through years of Ashtanga yoga, somatic study, and energy medicine, I developed Polarity Somatic Yoga as an expression of disciplined practice, embodied awareness, and the ongoing study of breath, mind, and energy. My mat is rarely far from reach.
My family has resided in the Pacific Northwest on the indigenous lands of the Coast Salish Peoples for several generations. This includes the land where the physical school/center currently resides.
I feel blessed and humbled to get to share this sacred land with the ancestors and healing spirits who also reside here and I do my best to honor and include them.
As a cis gendered white-bodied human being of European descent living and teaching on Squaxin and Nisqually lands, and as a practitioner and teacher, I aim to do my very best to unpack my unconscious and inherited biases, examine my privileges, and act as an ally. I offer my heartfelt support to my community members and beyond regardless of their sexual orientation, race, religion, or economic status.
I am always seeking ways to be sensitive to various types of systemic oppression, and to foster inclusivity in my classes, sessions, and community. This is a practice that is constantly evolving and I am devoted to always learning new ways to humbly improve.
In an attempt to acknowledge and hopefully offset some of the historical and current inequities that have affected many of the populations whose sacred work has been appropriated over time, a portion of all proceeds from the Elevation Hive school are donated to the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center each month. My hope is that as we grow, we can make an ever increasing impact and contribution not only financially but energetically, through sacred reciprocity and right relationship.
As a way to honor the value of diversity and inclusion, I offer one full scholarship per year and am open to considering additional partial scholarships for BIPOC individuals or anyone who feels called to apply. If you would like to inquire about receiving or donating, please send an email to: amandalux@elevationhive.com

Polarity therapy is both a way of life and a healing modality based in energy medicine. Polarity works with the body, mind, and spirit through the lens of the five elements and the chakra system.
Kim Pinckley has been a healing arts practitioner since 1997. As the current vice president of APTA (the American Polarity Therapy Association), Kim frequently travels from the east coast where she currently resides, to co-teach advanced classes in Polarity and Craniosacral therapy around the world.
Kim Pinckley’s background in Craniosacral Therapy began in the year 2000, when she attended the entry level class with the Upledger Institute in Palm Beach, Florida. She continued her Craniosacral journey with advanced classes for another 100 hours of training with the Upledger Institute before moving to Arizona and expanding her education by completing a 200-hour program to become certified in Integrative Cranial Unwinding through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts.
While completing a 650 hour Mind Body Wellness program at SWIHA, she also studied Reiki, Nutrition and Hypnotherapy, and eventually became certified to teach Polarity Therapy and Cranial Sacral Unwinding Therapies.
Kim has also attended all the trainings in Polarity and the Native American Medicine Wheel Ceremony with her mentor Heather Principe at Heathers school, The Yoga and Polarity Center in Malverne, New York where she is now a teacher of advance Polarity therapy courses. Through Heather, Kim deepened her studies in traditional Native teachings and healing practices which are integrated into her work, or as Kim calls it, "her medicine".
Kim currently resides on the east coast where she maintains a private healing practice and travels the world as an instructor of craniosacral and Polarity Therapy. Kim still maintains a personal practice and has since 1997. She offers classes and retreats worldwide.
