Who is this class for?
This introductory class is for new or seasoned healers, empaths, bodyworkers, and anyone interested in honing their sensitivities and energy palpation skills.
If you want to learn more about what energy is and how to feel confident about what you think you might be feeling, then this class is for you.
Whether you are looking to enhance your skills with existing clients for professional growth or are interested in personal growth by becoming more aware and sensitive to energy in general, this introductory class will provide some essential skills to build and grow on.
What will we cover?
As this work is based upon the principles of Polarity prinicples, there will be a brief introduction to Polarity and craniosacral therapy as somatic energetic modalities.
In addition we will :
Explore the bodies electromagnetic field or bio-field and learn how to hone the art and skill of energy palpation
Learn how to identify another person's energetic boundaries, and how to enter and palpate someone's energy field respectfully.
Learn some foundational tools you can apply right away to assist in the discharge of an energy "block" for pain relief, emotional and mental support, trauma resolution and more.
***We will also be focusing on how to be renewed from giving energy work (instead of feeling drained or depleted).

This class will be held 15 min. outside of Olympia, WA on ten acres of sacred waterfront forest. The land supports one full-time family residence, one 30 foot geodesic classroom dome with views of Oyster Bay inlet and one nightly rental (with more coming). If you are traveling from out of town or would like to learn more, read the FAQ below.
The dome has heat and hot water for coffee and tea. There is a separate space on the property with a dedicated kitchen, bathroom, hardwood floors, and gorgeous views of the water. Directions will be provided via email upon registration.
The land offers many opportunities to deepen your learning experience, nourish and replenish.

About your instructor
My name is Amanda Lux and I am the creator of the Elevation Hive.
I am a board certified polarity practitioner, Registered Polarity Educator, Licensed massage therapist, and have taken many additional trainings and teacher trainings.
Some of these but not all include BodyMind Bridge Hypnotherapy, transformational life coaching, dream teacher training with Robert Moss, and yoga teacher training with a focus on somatics.
I have been practicing Polarity therapy and Craniosacral Unwinding professionally since 2004 and have had the opportunity to give somewhere in the vicinity of 10,000 sessions over nearly two decades of private practice.
I have been teaching Polarity professionally for five years and have been assisting classes and studying to teach since 2015.
My clients and students have been by far my greatest teachers!

*We offer discounts on the nightly rentals for students who travel from near and far who wish to stay on the property during classes. Currently we have a one bedroom cottage with a queen bed and a slightly smaller than full size Murphy bed in the living room. In addition, we have two smaller domes that are still under construction.

Curious about the woo? Then this class is designed for you! (I know, I know, I just couldn't resist).
As a massage therapist myself, the content will most likely resonate with other bodywork professionals. However, this introductory class is absolutely open to both practitioners and non-practitioners alike.
Non-touch practitioners may be interested in learning about energy work in order to share it with their families, pets, or to understand it better as clients.
If you are interested in one of our Craniosacral Balancing or Polarity Therapy certificate programs and wish to incorporate these modalities into your practice professionally, then it is required in Washington state to have a license to touch. In Oregon, Arizona and some other states this may not be necessary. Please make sure to check the laws in the area you wish to practice.
Craniosacral Balancing and Polarity Therapy are very complimentary for:
Licensed Massage therapists
Physical therapists
Somatic practitioners
Medical professionals such as chiropractors, Naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, midwives, doulas, death doulas, or other professionals who have a license to touch.
In addition, Polarity principals can be easily adapted to support other energy healing modalities such as:

Theta healing
Tantric Healing
Therapeutic Touch
